Free Condoms
Condoms are the most effective, inexpensive way to prevent pregnancy and STI infections. Don't be shy about asking your nearest Planned Parenthood medical center for your free condoms.

STI/HIV Testing
Many sexually active people have an STI and don't even know it. Some infections may cause visible symptoms (herpes), others don't show symptoms (Chlamydia), and others can live in your body for years before symptoms appear (HIV). Protect yourself and your partner - get tested at one of our eight medical centers. You're not too old; you're not too young. STIs and HIV don't discriminate on age.

Emergency Contraception (EC) - Not Just for Women
Real men know that protection and prevention aren't just female things. That's why they're not afraid to ask for Emergency Contraception (EC) for their partners at Planned Parenthood. Males 18 and older can obtain EC at any of our eight medical centers, including the Express Clinic in Costa Mesa.

EC can reduce a woman's risk of pregnancy up to 94% when started within 24 hours of unprotected sex. It can be started within 120 hours of unprotected sex, but is most effective within the first 24 hours. EC does not cause abortion - it prevents pregnancy. EC is inexpensive and costs $30 - about the same price as downloading 30 songs from itunes or a night at the movies.

Vasectomies
Vasectomy is a safe, effective, permanent form of birth control for men. During a minor surgical operation, the vas deferens (the tubes in which sperm travel to the penis) are closed off. Ejaculation is not disrupted, but semen contains no sperm so pregnancy can't happen.

Vasectomy procedures are performed on site at a Planned Parenthood medical center, including counseling before the procedure, the procedure itself, and semen evaluation after the procedure. Many health insurance plans cover vasectomy services, and services are available at low cost to men who are uninsured or under-insured.

Bi-lingual Spanish and Vietnamese staff are available at many of our eight medical centers to assist you with your reproductive health questions and visits.

Prevention is not just about condoms and birth control. Planned Parenthood's award-winning education programs provide trusted, comprehensive sexuality information and empower participants with the knowledge and skills to make responsible, healthy choices.

M3: Interactive program and rap sessions focusing on a man's role in preventing pregnancy and STIs.

Peer Leadership Program: Skills-based workshops provide adolescents with information on a variety of teen concerns such as smoking, drugs, reproductive health and sexuality. The purpose of the program is to increase teenagers' self-esteem, encourage family communication while offering rewarding work and volunteer experience.
