HEALTH SERVICESBefore You Love Someone, Love YourselfMaybe you think Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties is for other people - your girlfriend, pregnant women, sister or teens who need reproductive health and sexuality education. We're actually here for you with condom distribution, sexually transmitted infection (STI) and HIV testing, education and birth control for you. Why take unnecessary risks with your health and your future when the power of prevention is simply an email or phone call away. Call 1.800.230.7526 or make an appointment online. Emergency Contraception (EC) - Not Just for Women EC can reduce a woman's risk of pregnancy up to 94% when started within 24 hours of unprotected sex. It can be started within 120 hours of unprotected sex, but is most effective within the first 24 hours. EC does not cause abortion - it prevents pregnancy. EC is inexpensive and costs $30 - about the same price as downloading 30 songs from itunes or a night at the movies. Vasectomies Vasectomy procedures are performed on site at a Planned Parenthood medical center, including counseling before the procedure, the procedure itself, and semen evaluation after the procedure. Many health insurance plans cover vasectomy services, and services are available at low cost to men who are uninsured or under-insured.
