Current programs
Community Challenge Grant (CCG)
The Community Challenge Grant (CCG) takes a multi-dimensional,
community-driven approach to decreasing unintended pregnancies and STIs
among adolescents and young adults by providing comprehensive sexuality
education, family and partner communication skills, and youth development
opportunities.
The program targets five specific populations:
• Pre-sexually active adolescents
• Sexually active adolescents
• Pregnant and parenting adolescents
• Parents, families and caregivers
• At-risk young adults
Services provided include:
• Comprehensive sexuality education (10 hour series) for
males and females ages 12-19
• Informational Presentations – implemented at sites
that are unable to accommodate a 10-hour series
• Education & support of significant others, parents
and caregivers of adolescents
• Peer provided services – Peer educators receive
on-site training and assist health Educators with presentations
• Life skills – participants receive career development
training, which includes topics such as managing finances, job interview
skills and workplace relationship skills
• Education and support for teen mothers and fathers
